WE ARE GOING ONLINE!
In light of the pandemic, we have decided to reschedule the CWIP 2020 to September 18, 2020. The organizing committee has also collectively come to the decision that given the current circumstances, it makes the most sense to conduct the conference online. Please find the updated schedule under "Agenda". We hope to "see" many of you in September!
Women are underrepresented in academic philosophy. We want to change that.
Women have historically been an underrepresented group in academic philosophy. We want to change that. With the Conference by Women in Philosophy (CWIP), we wish to carve out a space for ourselves within the discipline and create a yearly opportunity for women philosophers like us to get together, share our work with each other and cultivate our professional networks.
The 7th annual CWIP will take place online. The goal is to open up a platform each year for undergraduate and graduate women philosophers to present their research to an audience of peers and receive constructive feedback on it. We hope that the CWIP serves as a template for similar initiatives in academia where young women academics can come together to discuss new ideas and forge valuable relationships.
